Travel & Leisure
Enabling people to lead richer lives through supported travel experiences.
Looking for the perfect escape?
Community Solutions offers a Cottage Getaway experience, ranging from a full week in the summer to long weekends in the spring and fall.
The Cottage Getaways provide a means of respite/relief for family members while at the same time enabling people to experience a greater sense of independence in an environment that is not focused on rehabilitation. This safe, supportive environment offers a break from daily life while allowing the individual to engage in all aspects of personal care and housekeeping activities around the cottage. Participation is made possible through the encouragement of peers and with the assistance and/or supervision of staff with extensive experience supporting individuals with an acquired brain injury.
Promoting accessible travel for persons with disabilities through our Travel Companions, Personal Support Workers and Community Support Workers.
Community Solutions offers an unforgettable cottage experience overlooking a picturesque lake in the beautiful Muskokas; a cottage experience particularly for people living with Acquired Brain Injury.
Safe & Supportive
Most importantly, the entire getaway is offered in a safe and supportive environment that is specifically designed to cater to the unique needs associated with ABI. Knowing the details have been addressed means caregivers can also get the respite they need.
